Why do we really need place holders?

If we really needed them (this won't work) matching initials. I noticed Matt kind of did that with his guys.

It's just so we don't get confused in ESPN and end up with more players during the year than were allowed. This is especially important after the Janaury draft, because we're only allowed 33 players maximum during the year, and if we don't have placeholders to represent our farm guys it would be easy to end up with an extra roster player or two. Which in turn might give somebody an advantage going into the playoffs.

It's basically just to keep the numbers game straight. Nobody would purposely do this, but they could quite easily miscount.

And yes, I tried to match the last letter of the last name of the prospect with the last letter of the last name of the placeholder.

Oh that's probably a good idea. I just picked cool sounding french names!

Cody Hodgson isn't there (at least when I checked last night). I still have my previous dude from last year as a PH.
