You're gonna laugh at this Butch ... my wife and I were on a kayaking trip up near Alaska this summer (for three weeks) ... middle of nowhere.

We arrive at a remote, fly-in fishing lodge to pick up a food parcel and who should be there but ... Dennis Potvin. He was there with a bunch of other old hockey players for a week of soaking up the rain and enjoying some of the best salmon fishing around.

Yeah, I didn't really talk to him very much. Basically shook his hand and said hello. he was busy carousing with all the other guys.

The trip was pretty cool. My wife and I try to get out for at least a couple of weeks every summer. Last year we were up on Baffin Island for our honeymoon.

Whereabouts in northern Ontario do you live? My wife was a canoe guide in northern Ontario for a while, and we did a four-week trip in 2005 down the Missinaibi River, from Wawa to Moose Factory. Really enjoyed it. Then took the Cheechoo train back down to Cochrane. Are you an outdoors guy?

Hello everyone,

just wanted to share some outstanding news. I went to the doctor for the results of my CT scan and they were negative. I think of George Costanza everytime I hear that phrase. THis means that it has been 3 years since my lobectomy surgery and everything is clean. My next visit will be January 2010. Even Keegan's huge Monday night can't spoil this news.

Just thought I would let you know!
