The Weekly Wrap Up Round Five

Hello fellers!

I feel very fortunate to have escaped last week with a win. Only five points separated Chris and I and he had both Kovalchuk and Enstrom injured. All in all, I did not deserve this win but I will surely take it. Of course, last week vs The Juggernauts I lost by one single point so I suppose I needed to catch a break.

Looking at the big board above, things were really quiet. That highest weekly total was our lowest yet this season (no offense Brandon!), our highest nightly total was the lowest yet this season (no offense Ray!), our stud of the week accumulated the least amount of points this season for a stud of the week (no offense Jarrett!), and even our highest single game total was nothing to write home about at 18.8 (no offense John).

Here is something that I have become curious about: total games played per week. Below is a list of the match ups last week and the total number of games they had:

Desolation Row (43+4=47) vs Suicidal Frogs (40+6=46)
203 vs 198 or viewed as points per game 4.3 vs 4.3

The Pensioners (37+3=40) vs The Juggernauts (47+4=51)
156 vs 222.4 or viewed as points per game 3.9 vs 4.4

Arthur Tigers (48+4=52) vs Shoreside Situations (47+6=53)
220 vs 206.2 or viewed as points per game 4.2 vs 3.9

Buffalo Cab Co. (44+3=47)vs Motley Crue (45+5=50)
241.8 vs 166.3 or viewed as points per game 5.1 vs 3.3

Soo Storm (43+4=47) vs Fitzsy Stars (42+5=47)
246 vs 213.8 or viewed as points per game 5.2 vs 4.5

So, there you have it. When viewed on a points per game basis it looks as though Brandon is our Stud of the Week with 5.2. That is a healthy total. Looking at the opposite end of the spectrum we have poor Richard with just 3.3 points per game.

I will see if I can generate the energy to keep this up over the rest of the year. I am curious to see how things play out.

Just did a little bit of digging.

In week three, I totaled 298.1 points. That is the most accumulated in one week ....... thus far.

I had 54 games that week (48 skaters + 6 goalies) which gives me an average of 5.5 points per game.

Not bad at all.

Have we had better thus far this season?
Pehaps.

Will we see better this season?
Certainly.

19.2 points for me last night with 6 players.
Not so impressive really.
That is a 3.2 average and I don't think that a 3.2 average earns a win in our fine league.

Ray on the other hand. My goodness.
58.5 points and only 5 skaters.

A whopping 11.7 average.

Whew.

Holy ........................

I would say my record for the highest total of the week is in jeopardy.
