Wow, I remember those days of tough love. When Cara was young and crying for us, we would sit outside her closed door and whisper, "good night" . That was it. It took a couple of days but then she would fall asleep easily.

The boys were somewhat similar but only took a day or two of that. I got off easy, that's for sure.

Then there were the times when I would get off of work early wither because of a threatening hurricane or tornado, or an electrical power outage. I would arrive home early from work and surprise my daughter and creep up the stairs to her room, hear not a sound, carefully push the door open slowly,

and find my daughter standing in her crib with crap smeared all over the wall and crib.

Well, needless to say, that was the last time I surprised any of my kids by coming home from work early.

That's pretty funny Ray. Those days of arriving home to find crap smeared all over the walls are still ahead of us. Something to look forward to I guess.
