OK, here we go. These are the 4 options available in ESPN. Remember, should you chose 'no trade review', you are effectively removing the opportunity that currently exists to veto a trade. It has not been an issue as yet, but one never knows what the future holds.

Messy.
Say a trade was done on a Sunday evening or a Monday just prior to the start of the games, and it turned out to be a questionable trade or even a trade that needed to be reversed then things would get messy.
Seems much simpler to leave things as is, or move it to 24 hours.

We've already had a poll on whether to keep 48 hrs wait and we voted to get rid of it
So the only option really is no wait or 24hrs.
As you mention Greg no wait could cause some issues so it should be 24hrs.

May I ask a silly question? Why does this need to be changed at all? If everyone knows that there is a two day voting period, then why is this an issue? I'm just asking.

It is a perfectly good question Ray.
For me, it is good as is.
I think a few GMs would like it otherwise though, so I am just being a kind and sensitive Commish.
I really am sweet that way.

The discussion and poll, if I recall correctly, was about keeping the 48hr waiting period or not. It was voted to eliminate it which one would think that would mean that there is no loner any waiting period. I don't think there was any discussion or followup polls to say otherwise was there?
I actually voted to keep the waiting period but the vote was to eliminate it. Should we not just stick with that the original vote results?

The trouble with that poll, I find, is that there was nothing put in place to replace it. Eliminate it and then what? Eliminate it and replace it with a 24hr waiting period? Eliminate it and replace it with nothing? It was not clear. To me at least.
Because if we eliminate the 48 hr wait and replace it with nothing, we have also eliminated the veto system and I am not certain that was fully appreciated in the previous poll.

I'm actually sorry I posted on this, I may have been a bit drunk when I stumbled on our previous post/poll on this subject. I had forgotten all about it and just thought it was the regular 48hr wait time. I really dont care what it is, we've been following the rule for the season so far and have had no issues
We can just forget that my post even happened Friday haha

Looks like another poll may be necessary to get this puppy figured out. Maybe options 1 and 4 should be removed...
