Winter Draft

Well fellas, it is upon us more or less. Our chance to pick up some fresh blood for the second half of the season.

So, we will know the draft order by the end of the week. That should be interesting. The next step will be to work out our draft date.

When did we do it last year? Anyone remember?

i think we started december 30th ISH.

it says above up to five players.... it can be more if you have the spots available and the extra draft picks i believe

but last year i think the standings of the draft were determined later. maybe if we are determining standings earlier we do the draft before xmas? like start friday dec 20th?

I'm pretty busy throughout the holidays, but hopefully will be able to check in periodically whenever we decide to hold the draft.

Let me know what day I have to drop guys. I intend to drop Pitkanen and Meszaros.

I think that you are right Brandon that it was the 30th that we started last year.

That date works pretty well for me again. Anything around Christmas is dicey for me.

Might be on the road all day during the 30th, driving from Sudbury back to southern Michigan. But not 100% sure about that. I will try to work around whatever the group decides.

my vote is to start it by friday dec 27th---- making this friday the drop date

this will also allow us to get it done before new years and we can also have our new toys in the lineup for the week starting december 30th

I wouldn't mind starting on the 27th. That would work well for me.

Busy time of year so I think that we should all bank on things moving slower than our Fall draft.

That would work for me, although would likely move slower.

Will there be enough notice for the Draft Start so that we can drop players 3 days before the start?

Let's just start it on the 27th, so that would mean we would need to have our affairs in order by the 24th or earlier.
