Small Town Dynasty gets:

Ilya Kovalchuk (LW) -- New Jersey Devils
Bobby Ryan (RW,LW) -- Anaheim Ducks
Mark Streit (D) -- New York Islanders
Kari Lehtonen (G) -- Dallas Stars
Jacob Markstrom (G) -- Florida Panthers
Alexander Salak (G) -- Florida Panthers



Desolation Row gets:

Sidney Crosby (C) -- Pittsburgh Penguins
Jaroslav Halak (G) -- Montreal Canadians
Brett MacLean (LW) -- Phoenix Coyotes


Included in this blockbuster deal between Joel and I are two caveats.

1. Should Kovalchuk flee to the KHL this summer, the deal is reversed in its entirety.
2. Should Ryan averages less than 4.4 fantasy points per game, I will send my 2nd R pick Sept '11 to Joel (calculated at the end of the full NHL season).

**** I need to note here that this trade is a post keeper deal. It will officially be sent through the day following our keeper freeze late in August '10 ****

Insane how you now have Malkin and Crosby. All hail the King.

Time will tell.

I think that it will be a few years before I can rally up some talent for Malkin and Crosby to play with.

In the meantime, Joel will be one tough customer. His roster is now officially frightening.

I predict a ''last to first'' transition for him next season.

Perhaps the Halak component of the deal might be the most interesting. Will he be a number one next anywhere next season? Could it be the season after?

PS Jay, I would appreciate it if you called me King more often. It has quite a ring to it.

PSS Also, I think that Brandon proved to us this season that balanced is a better approach. Still..........I could not resist the temptation.

One question: Over what time period does the Ryan point-averaging pertain to? The entire regular and playoffs combined? Just the playoffs? Some other variation?

Nope, it is OK Brandon. In our last trade together we flipped Lehtonen and Maclean. In this trade, since I am getting Halak, we are reversing it.
