Hello Everyone,
I have an idea for a playoff pool that would keep interest in our fine league alive during the next few weeks. Does anybody know if ESPN does 'Free' Playoff Pools?
Anyway, I propose that entry to the pool is $20 per person and that ALL the winnings (minus expenses) will be donated to Relay for Life -- it's a run that Ray is doing in June to raise money for cancer research.
I propose a simple pool format, much like the one Scoop uses for his playoff pool:
1) Everybody picks twenty players and two goalies.
2) Goals = 1 point, Assists = 1 point, Wins = 1 point, Shutouts = 2 points
3) Every round you get to drop three guys and pick up three more.
4) I will try to find a free (or inexpensive) website that will tally results for us. Or failing that, I will tally results after every round manually.
Please let me know ASAP if you have any interest. Team's should be chosen no later than the first day of the playoffs, and can be sent to me via PM or by email.
Cheers, Little Cat A

Oh yes, and seeing as how Greg seems to have changed my name to Little Cat A permanently, I also vote for changing his name to:
"That nubile and outrageously sexy team owner who generally loses to Little Cat A and is formerly know as Greg"

I cannot tell you how floored I was when I saw Little Cat A's email. I have tears in my eyes! Thank you SO very much! How limited is the group size? IS it just our Nutbar group? l will also forward the e-mail to my friends but if it might be too much let me know.
Again, I am truly touched by your gesture.

Hey Ray,
No problem at all emailing your friends. The more the merrier! And it's all going to a good cause after all.

Alright Brandon. Sounds good. We now have seven people signed up for the playoff pool:
Matt Greg Ray Scoop Brandon Chris Steve
The bottom two are friends of Ray's. We still have time for more entries boys, so let me know if you want to join up.
Cheers, Matt

In my other, similar playoff pool, the guy that knows the very least and his son, have won the last TWO years... sort of a Dianne Chambers style of championship (for those old enough to know what CHEERS was all about). Dianne "The Pain in the Ass" Chambers won football pools by picking colours...

I'm sure he doesn't think of himself as Dianne Chambers.
