So, just a reminder to all that we will be finalizing our standings for the mid season draft at the conclusion of this week.
On the 26th of December, we can get going with our slow draft.
After our slow draft is completed we can go ahead and insert our new players in our lineup.
We can't forget that we agreed to test out the bidding waiver option as well. As soon as our mid season draft is complete players will be eligible for waiver pickup via the new bidding format.
Should be fun to see how that works out. I don't expect there to be really any talent left, but it should be great fun to see it in action.

If you have a full roster after the midseason draft, can you even do anything with the waivers?
Can you drop a player to pick one up on Waivers?

Yep, one would have to drop to create room as I understand it.
For example, Brandon could drop Sidney Crosby to make room for Eric Tangradi.

can someone explain exactly how this waiver thing works.
so after the draft guys can be picked up on a daily? weekly? basis.
also what if we have $50 for this waiver thing and two teams put all the cash to get one guy. what would happen then?

On the ESPN site it shows that the auction takes place everyday at 11 am. Each team has $50 limit. If a team uses all $50 on one player, then he has no more add/drop maneuverability.
The team higher on the waiver wire would obtain player in case of a tie I assume.

I'm not sure we ever really decided these final issues... daily seems a big much and 50 possible moves (even though i don't think anyone would use them all) seems crazy. Don't want this to be just a battle for picking up crap players that play 4 times to replace bad players that play twice. My suggestion was to have 50$ but make the minimum bid 5$ so 10 moves max... unless you trade money. and make it weekly, say sunday at 6pm so that everyone would have a week to see how the players are doing and judge that way. One reason I'm against daily is because I work nights and if someone gets called up and plays great that I like I could be at work and never even have had the chance to get to a computer to make my bid.
ok, this is a bit of a rant but I would hate for our first time using FAAB to suck for us all. lol

John,
Never feel bad about explaining your view. It's the views that don't get explained that create more stress. You've presented quality points for consideration, and that's valuable.

I also would like it to be a weekly occurrence. That's how we used to work it in my other league when we did FREE AGENT BIDDING. Sunday is fine, but Monday may be better, say a noon deadline so you can get them in your lineup and also get the latest news updates.
Trading $$$$???? As long we keep each team's maximum money at $50, I a mfine with trading money but otherwise I don;t like it.
That's my rant.

I have set the Waiver Process Day and Time to Monday at noon. I have set the minimum bid to 5 dollars.
I am wondering if we should not hold off on trading money until we see how the whole thing works.
How's all that sound?
