Draft Questions

Hey guys, just a couple questions about the draft

What time are we starting it Saturday?

After ten rounds are we just going to figure out how many players we still need to draft and figure out the rest of the draft order at that point?

Does Greg or Matt have everyone on MSN?

and finally how will everyone know whos turn is it to pick? should we have someone type out one rounds order in the msn chat box, and then have teams pick, and then do it again? or should we have everyone follow along on the draft charts here on the site?

just trying to get stuff figured out so the draft runs smoothly

I believe if you look back a few threads you will see that we decided on 3:00 pm EST, which is 1:00 pm Alberta time and 12:00 Noon WCT.

Good question about the draft order -- I would suggest people either print off a list of the draft order and keep it beside them, or they go to the page on the forum and keep the draft order on their screen in from of them. If somebody goes out of turn I am sure they will be corrected very quickly

As far as everybody being on MSN? I don't know if Greg has added everyone to our MSN group. I believe that most people have worked out the kinks with him. I talked with Scoop on the phone a couple of nights ago and he mentioned that he's not sure about being at the draft. He may have to coach hockey that day. If he can't be there, he said he's going to try and find somebody to do it for him. I haven't heard anything since. I assume he will be in touch with Greg or myself a day or two before the draft to confirm.

I am also not sure about Mike. He forgot to subtract his non-keepers from ESPN, so that seems to suggest he may not have been in touch with Greg regarding MSN either. But I can't be certain about that.

The MSN thing seems to be pretty straight forward, so even if there are one or two people we have to figure out at the last minute I think we should be OK.

I'm going to be doing 2 drafts at once since a one yr league draft was supposed to start at noon will now start at 3. I'll be keeping track of the draft, but will need someone to let me know it's my turn

just curious jay, if you need someone to tell you your up, will you be able to tell who has been taken already?

ill be paying attention (hopefully) to who is picked, I just won't know what the draft order is.

Hello to all.

I have everyone listed in my contact list. I have 'seen' Matt, Brandon and online thus far. I think it would be a good ideer for everyone to log on today and make sure that everything is working fine. I will leave my messenger open and take a peek every now and then.
