Well, things are filling up on the big board I must say. Just two short weeks remain in our regular season.
Sam Gagner. 47.8 points in a single night. Not sure we will ever see a better single game performance.
His weekly total of 73.8 will also be a tall order to top.
Just a word on Chris's total of 389.5. Previous to week 16 we discussed how to handle the extended week. Ray made a great suggestion which I think we should put into action next year, but Matt brought up the point of consistency. For this year we throw out the first few games and include only the final 7 nights. I was, however, curious what would be the total had we used Ray's suggestion:
Zitat :
(Total points/number of game days) x 7 = total points pro rated over 7 days
389.5/9 x 7 = 302.9
A heroic effort this week from Gord. Boy did he ever take a run at Chris. Well done Gord.
Just a note: trade deadline approaches. February 27th at 3pm.

Ray, I wanted to do a little more chatting this week, but ESPN just would not allow it! They have to get their smackboard fine tuned.
Caught you on a low week it seems. Rinne winless and St Louis with only 3 points in 4 games. Parise quiet with 8.4.......
Perhaps you will pay me back soundly come the playoffs!!

All good! I think you have done a helluva job this year and deserve the title. Regular season anyway. Strange things have happened in the playoffs so this year I wouldn't expect anything different.
Last year, if Spezza had a three-point Sunday instead of a 4-point, then I would have been playing in the finals because I would've played Matt in the semis and my point totals were better than his that week.
But, I just love the competition and the camaraderie that you and Matt have developed in this league. Well done!
Ray

Yeah, that is the beauty of H2H, because it keeps you guessing each and every week. I've had situations like that unfold as well. Heck, with 4,200 points scored against this year, the Fitzsy Stars have had their fair share of bad luck.
The camaraderie and the excitement of watching things unfold is the most important thing for a successful league IMO.

He's been hit harder than most by the sophomore slump, but the pedigree is still there. He still has plenty of time to realize it.
But Mum's the word. I won't mention his name again (probably).

I think you said PAAJARVI, Ray. You should know better than to say it so loudly, especially on a forum frequented by Brandon. LOL.

No more Paajarvi. Sorry Ray. And, if possible, to spare Brandon's sensitive feelings, best to stay away from anything resembling Paajarvi, too: MPS, MSP, SMP, SPM, PMS ... you get the general idea. And certainly, under no circumstances, should you mention Paajarvi-Svensson, either. I think that is just a given!

This sounds like a "Seinfeld" episode. Okay, Razor, why are you afraid of clowns! I'm sure the story starts:
"Once upon a time..." or "A long time ago..." or "When I was a boy..." or "The circus came to town..."
or
"Once upon a time, a long time ago, when I was a boy, the circus came to town."
(raced down to see... elephants... fat ladies... midgets... rides... games... HORRIBLE CLOWN)
