So now Brandon has a 33 man roster, if I am to understand this correctly, he cannot make anymore trades where he picks up more players than he gives away? 33 men is the roster limit, am I correct?

yah that is why i had to drop lehtinen in that trade or i would have had 34 guys- at least that is my interpretation on it- 33 being the max

Yes, that is correct. You can have 33 roster spots total, including farm team.
