January Draft

So I might be crazy here but under the manifesto it states that players may drop up to 5 players in the January Draft.

What does that mean for players who currently have more then 5 draft picks in the January draft? Does it mean they just have better picks or does it mean they can draft more then the 5 they have dropped?

Upon a quick glance over of the manifesto I might be jumping the gun in regards to teams only being able to drop 5 players. Either way I am still unclear of things. Can I request clarification?

The way I understood it is that you may drop 5 players, but no where does it state a maximum number of players you may take on. As long as we are under the 33 man roster, we should be able to use all our draft picks. If not it makes trading them almost useless.

At the END of the January draft you can have no more than the 33 player limit. So, if you have 29 players currently and six draft picks - and you want to use all of the draft picks - you'll need to drop twp players from your roster by Dec 28th (three days before the draft starts). We ned to have a bit of notice on the players you drop s other GMs may want to pick up your discards.

If you have 29 players and 6 draft picks and don't want to drop any of your current players, that is also fine. It would mean you would simply use your top four draft picks in the January draft.

Note: after the Sept 2009 draft you'll start again with 30 players to begin the season.
