COUPLE OF QUESTIONS

For the draft i know we start on wednesday dec 31, but can the order be finalized on dec 21. that way its gives some time to know exactly what 1st round pick you have and time to trade up or down.


also i think i asked this before but the number of keepers we keep is based on the reg season standings or playoff standings?

also is there no trade deadline?

The summer draft order goes with our Standings at the end of the regular season. So if you finished 8th in the season, but won the playoffs. You'd get third overall pick.

To answer your questions:

1) Jay is correct. Draft pick order for Sept 2009 is based on regular season finish.
2) There is a trade deadline. Check the manifesto, but I believe it is January 31st, or perhaps Feburary 1st. One of those days. It's basically a month before the start of our playoffs.
3) I agree with you. Let's finalize the January Draft order on Dec 21st, so that there is time to trade up and down.

NOTE: Everyone will need to drop any players they are planning to drop a minimum of three days before the Janaury draft. I outlined in a previous message a few days ago the rules and regulations about why and how many you'll need to drop to participate in the Janaury draft.

Can you post the link. I can't find the message

AFTER the Janaury draft you can have at most 33 players, INCLUDING farm team. Thus, if you currently have 29 players and five draft picks, you'll need to drop one player three days before the Janaury draft starts (ie. Dec 27th).
