Hey Everyone,
In looking through the draft pick spreadsheet I had thought I found a mistake earlier this month. The current spreadsheet shows that my 3rd round pick in January 2010 belongs to Richard, and I could not remember trading the pick to Richard so I assumed it was a mistake.
It took Ray doing some digging to discover that Greg traded it to Richard in TRADE #58. I tried tracing it back further and discovered that there is a gap somewhere. I originally traded the pick to Brandon during the summer (TRADE #44), but how it got from Brandon to Greg is a mystery. I'm assuming that it happened somewhere along the way, but it would be very difficult to trace it back at this point.
Here's my concern and how I see resolving it:
In looking back through the trades log I notice that people have started posting trades on their own. However, every post has a different style and format based on whoever happens to be posting the trade, which leads to this sort of confusion.
I therefore ask that one person should be responsible for posting trades under the trade log. This would ensure that the trade format is followed every single time, and all trades would be easier to trace back.
Since I've been doing this from the start, I'd be happy to continue this for the foreseeable future.
Is that alright with everyone?
SO ... if you make a trade, please PM me with the details or list it in a separate post in the League Lounge. PLEASE specify everything I'll need to know about the players, prospects, and draft picks traded, including who the draft picks originally belonged to and for which draft.
Thanks, Matt
Soo Storm

I'm okay with that. I have the log at work, so tomorrow I will get the paper trail on that pick for you.

I'm wondering if the person who posted the trade simply forgot to include the pick. If that's the case it may be tough to track it down.

Matt traded the pick as a condition in the Lecavalier/Kovalchuk trade which was TRADE #40.......Greg traded it to Richard in trade #58.

OK, that makes sense. And the 3rd round pick traded in TRADE #44 was actually Brandon's Jan 3rd round pick coming to me for Nick Lidstrom.

My pleasure....I don't know if I'll make to old age, but when I get older, maybe I can be a historian on the Nutbars Hockey League, complete with artifacts. Do we have any of those around by chance?
I know it can get confusing but we'll all keep this thing moving forward. I just know this bunch we have is something precious.
Now....let's root for Bryzgalov to get the shuttie tonight..I need it in my other league.

As far as artifacts go, the only one I can think of would be Whiz.
