Week 17: Smack Board

Hello to all. I would like to start this weeks smackboard out by saying:

''Frig! The games have already started''.

I should also give Scoop a big hearty congratulations for a solid week. Good entertainment Scoop for sure. Man did your goalies come to play this week. Mine? Neuwirth racked up -3.6 fantasy points in total. So it goes.

On to this week. Ray, Ray, Ray. What am I going to do with Ray this week? I see that Ray has accumulated about 400 more points than me this year so that is what one might call an unpleasant statistic for The Row. I faced you last Ray in November I believe and you took that week with one hand tied behind your back. In fact, you beat me with both Semin and Setogouchi out with some sort of injuries and you had Gomez with 0.6 and Del Zotto with 0.4. Your big stars were Giroux and Thorton. With Thorton playing four games this week, that could be problematic for me.

Still, I need a win Ray. I am not going to lie to you. Gotta secure my place in the playoffs!

I am a little worried about Gustavsson. I have to start him with Varlamov out and Neuwirth really having some difficulties. Quite an interesting game tonight with TOR and NAS squaring up. Both our goalies going head to head. Should be great fun to see how that turns out.

It's been good fun again. I was fortunate to record a monster night and have a narrow victory this week.

Tonight is an interesting night for me and Ray I find. He has all his Sharks going again (14 goals in the last 2 games) and they are playing against ANA (my Hiller). Gulp.

Useless statistic: over the last 30 days, only one other goalie has more wins than Hiller............. and that goalie is, Nabakov.

I think it would take quiet a performance for Hiller to steal a win tonight. One never knows though.

Anyone care to throw out a prediction or two?
