Week 19: Smack Board

Good morning gentlemen. Welcome to our penultimate regular season week. Week 18 went right about how I thought it would for Desolation Row. Badly. My roster performed about as well as my digestive track this week. That is to say, very, very poorly. I was fortunate enough to catch the Mighty Storm on a rather flat week, and I managed to be even flatter. Not an easy accomplishment to be truthful. A special thanks to M Streit, J Liles, and C Stewart who combined for a whopping -0.6 points for me this week.

Looking back at my predictions from last week:

Cab Co vs Stars: big schedule advantage for Matt with a couple of DTDs on Rays roster. Matt cracks 300 points this week and wins by a tidy 40 point margin. HIT-more or less

Tigers vs Crue: I expect a tight one here as Richard keeps rolling strong. Still, Scoop will come out on top by 15-25 points when the dust settles. MISS-complete

Gigawatts vs Industries: Nailbiter here. CAL with 4 games this week. Will Iginla wake up? Edge Mike by 15+ points. HIT-more or less

Dynasty vs Omnipresence: Very full schedule for Keegan here. I see him racking up 280 plus points this week. Keegan by 30. HIT-more or less

Looking ahead to Week 19, it seems as though I am facing up against last years champion again. WAS is playing 4 games this week, albeit two of them without Green. Not a very favourable schedule for Desolation Row this week, so I am going to predict a rather sound throttling. Something in the order of 289.2 - 214. Get it all out of my system before playoffs........perhaps.

Crue vs Storm: I expect a very close match up this week with the edge going to a red hot Crue. Richard is pushing himself right up the ranks with his late season surge. 284 - 278.

VI vs BCC: A favourable schedule for Ray this week. He will hold off a hungry VI roster looking for that last playoff position. 276.2 - 244.2.

Omnipresence vs Tigers: Two teams that could very likely meet in R1 of our playoffs. Nail biter here. Omnipresence by a hair. 262.4 - 258.8.

STD vs 1.21: This may be the match up of the week here. With Jay's playoff hopes hanging in the balance, Joel could play the role of spoiler. I give the edge to Joel this week. 248.2 - 239.8.

i was just looking at the standings and its funny to think if this were a points league me and matt would be about 3 points apart from each other instead of him 6 games behind.

however greg you are going to be wrong with my prediction, i will win this week, and i will break the nightly point record this SATURDAY!!!

That's crazy ugly. I remember exceeding the -0.6, but certainly not with 10 players....

I think that we should document this and see if it is ever topped.

I think it is quite remarkable and I am just happy to be a part of it.

Thinking about starting a new league without Matt Jackson.

The weekly record seems in danger of being smashed this week by one Matt Jackson.

I am just happy to be a part of it. Really happy.

Looks like it is coming down to Sunday between Matt and I. Right down to the wire.
