ESPN is Up and Running

Hey Everyone,

Just to let you know: ESPN is up and running. Little different format this year.

Biggest news? Looks like there are only 19 games in the regular season this year, because ESPN has combined the first short week and the all-star week into two longer weeks.

What that means is that there is only one team that you get to play three times this year. Any guesses which team I get to play three times?

I figured ESPN might try a different schedule to start this year, but I guess not.

I am seriously excited for this season to start, nothing like the enthusiasm of hopefully not being dead last next year!

Yeah, I sense there's a lot of excitement with the whole group. I know I am looking forward to our draft immensely! Just me, a bowl of popcorn, 7-11 Slurpee, and my spreadsheet. Three to four hours of pure, unadulterated bliss!

makes for an exciting matchup that we will all have our eyes on in the first week!!

another question; maybe we should look at the weekly prize we have because it looks like week 1 and then week 16 are longer than all the other weeks, so i imagine the winner will come from one of those two matchups. maybe we could take the total score and divide it by the number of days in the matchup to get us a daily avg and then award the prize to the highest daily average which is pretty much the same as the highest weekly total only it takes into account the longer matchups. thoughts?

I think the easiest way would be simply to subtract the first short week and the short week during the all-star break from the totals. Basically, it would mean any games played during these two short weeks wouldn't count towards the highest weekly point total.

For the highest daily point total it doesn't matter.

Can someone post the link to the actual ESPN league here. When I logged into my account today (been doing some maintenance on my computer and have been deleting a bunch of old files etc) all of my leagues are gone!
