Week 20: Smack Board

Well, I am surely glad that Week 19 is over. What a disaster for Desolation Row.

What is this league going to do with Matt Jackson? Soon we will need two GMs per week to add their totals together to make it close. I was quite depressed to see that Matt has joined my bracket of the playoffs. That puts a little damper on my optimism.

I wish everyone good luck this week. Our final week. Man that went quick no? Crazy.

I have my white flag ready for R1 of the playoffs!

Barring a complete breakdown from Matts team this week it looks like my 107 point night saved my ass and squeezed me into the playoffs. With Giggy getting games and winning it looks like I might have a team that can compete once again....to think I took Giggy in the 2nd round of the intial draft

Finally paying you back it seems!

Look at the fantasy night Mike had. Huge! Look at Lombardi go.

It ain't over for you yet, Jay. Lombardi had a 30 point night, and Mike's team has several games mroe than I do this week.

If the standings do not change in the next couple of hours we will have a three way tie for 3rd place of sorts.

***That said the Tigers are in tight against Jay.

As well Richard and Greg would be tied for 6th.

Looking at the head to head records amongst myself Matt & the Tigers:

I lost my head to heads vs. both the Tigers and the Stars 2-1 each.
The Tigers and the Stars met up only twice - splitting the difference.

The points breakdown during their two match-ups were:
213.2 to 193.4 for the Tigers (week 4)
269.4 to 233.9 for the Stars (week 13)

462.8 for the Fitsy Stars
447.1 for the Arthur Tigers

Does the edge then go to Matt?

Oh and Jay and Mike would have the same record for the season but Jay has won the head to head between them.

Of course all of this implies the Tigers beat Jay tonight.

But this means Greg meets Matt in the first round - one might call it the matchup of destiny

Oh man, that's awesome if they matchup again in the playoffs!

Well, I can't tell you all how happy I am to be matching up against Matt in R1 of the playoffs. My goal was ''anybody but Matt. anybody but Matt. anybody but Matt''.........

You never know, Greg. I've beat you all seven times we've faced each other. One would think your team is overdue for a win.

Let's hope. It would bring me a great deal of satisfaction Matt. I would weep with joy I must admit.

I was hoping that perhaps Varlamov would have secured the number one job in WAS by now. Not the case.
