Once Mike gets here, though, it should be pretty quick.
Are you around for a little while Brandon, or do you have to go our for a while?

Red comes home for lunch at 1:00 (45 minutes). He'll be excited to hear we're on deck! Struggling over which one of the FIVE we should pick! Whatever we select, guaranteed to disappoint someone (I think Josh was disappointed with Salmela). It's important that we remember to disappoint someone with our picks!
Newest discovery is Pete O'Donnell. He's a D-man that led a Jr. C league in scoring in 1976. Big, strong, tough, mobile... full meal deal... added a Hardy Cup to his resume in 1981! He's a great broomball player too.
Research continues.

I'm with you on that one, Jay. But some people just feel they have to put everyone else out by going on vacation. Isn't that right, Gregger?

SCOOP n RED would be delighted to have the other draft commence when this draft concludes. Although we're not short on research materials and have been studying for a very long time, it might prove advantageous for those without 15 years experience not to be on a clock. I also enjoy the banter associated with drafting. We would hit some snags, but could finish on September 21. I'm away at a Farm Show (Woodstock, ON) from September 10-12, but Red would be enthused to keep our picks moving along. Activity is healthy for a pool. That said, if there were any objections, this needs considered carefully. We don't want to be upsetting anyone.

I thought I heard something while I was out to lunch on 2nd Avenue. Even with all that trafiic. Sorry Jay. I guess you had your sights on someone named Wheeler perhaps.

Hey Scoop,
Yeah, the banter is kind of fun, but it's also time consuming. I haven't gotten much work done the last two+ days. Thank God I'm self employed....
Besides, Gregger is away on vacation from the 5th to the 17th. I think we'll just stick with the format already lined up and banter back and forth after the draft. Then you can make fun of all of us for our poor drafting practices....

lol. Yeah, I had my sights on him, but since then I have done some extensive research and uncovered someone I want even more. Go figure. I did yell out loud though when I saw you picked him

Don't sweat it, Mike. We're just giving you a hard time. I worked the graveyard shift for a few years shortly after graduating ... not easy!

No need to apologize for attending school. Did you know you'll make $1000 for every hour you study over the course of your working career? I'm not sure who figured that one out, but it sure is an interesting idea. Wish I had more than Grade 6.
The Arthur Tigers, stay on the wild side drafting winger Patric Horqvist of the Nashville Predators. This cat broke Peter Forsberg's rookie goal record two years ago!
Let's see, the Scottish team of McKee & McKee has selected - three Fins...

Mike,
Sorry to burst your bubble my friend, but Lisin has played 30 NHL games.
Not eligible for the farm team....
Who do you want instead?

I just sent Mike an email saying that Lisin is not eligible. It was technically his responisbility to check, so Scoop N Red's pick of Hornqvist stands.
I told Mike I would give him 30 minutes from now to log back on and make his last pick. If he doesn't, then we'll just carry on with the draft and Mike can have what's left over.
Sound fair to everyone?
