Payouts: Final Poll

Hello Everyone,

To keep everyone happy -- and because the vote was so close -- I think it's appropriate to do one more poll here to determine the final payout structure for next year.

This poll only has two choices. One of them is very close to the second option Jay proposed, that six people voted for in the last poll. I changed the numbers slightly to account for the roughly $20 in fees Paypal will take. The second option includes money for two small prizes to be given away for:

Highest Point total in One Night

Highest Point total in One Week

Again, I really like the idea of including a bit of money for these two smaller prizes because they wouldn't necessarily go to the winning team. Any team in any position could win them, and it would keep everybody's interest in the standings until the very end. I believe Richard would have won the highest point total in one night, for example, because of a crazy night his players had in February/March. So this prize wouldn't have gone to any of the top five teams. I like the fact that anybody can win them.

Please vote as you see fit. This will determine the final prize structure for next year.

Who hasn't voted yet? Is it Richard and Scoop who haven't voted?

Well, it looks like for this year anyway we'll have a payout structure that includes small prizes for Most Points in one Week and Most Points in one Night.

I think this strikes a nice balance. Most of the money still goes for the top two prizes, but this will keep every GM interested even if they fall behind early and are struggling to catch up.
